So I'm looking at my next upgrade, wheels & tires, and thought no better place to get good information from here. I'd like to stay away from Chrome as it's not my style so here's kind of what I'm looking at.

Pro Comp
http://www.4wd.com/jeep-parts.aspx?cid=36&jeep-sid=168&plID=10637

My ultimate problem is trying to figure out what wheel spacing, diameter, width, etc. I need to fit 33x12.5. I've also looked at some Mickey Thompson & Pro Comp tires but never really received any feedback on my posts on other sites.

What do you all think?

You want 15x8 with 5x4.5 bolt pattern and around 3.75-4.00 inches backspacing. I've found that summitracing.com has the best prices and they've always treated me well.

Here is a link to some wheels that would work for you. I just bought a set of the V-5s.

I have a set of these for sale.

They are 16", so you would need to get some 285 / 75 R 16 to get about 33" tires.
They are also 5 on 5 1/2" (yours would be 5 on 4 1/2"), but I will toss in one pair (ie 2) adapters to fit the tires.
I am open to reasonable offers.

My street tires are Mickey Thompson Baja MTZs. These are a very good tire. Several people I know like the MTZs a lot.
They are a good all around tire.

If you going to just use a tire for rocks with limited street driving, you would be better off going with a bias ply tire.

I've done a ton of research and getting more confused. I'm set on Pro Comp rims (http://www.performanceplustire.com/prod ... prodAnchor) - 15x8 - but tires I'm still unsure about.

I have looked at Toyo Open Country M/T 33x12.5x15 & the Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ 33x12.5x15. Anybody have some reviews or thoughts on which is better? I'm not a serious off-roader but will be ramping up my adventure.

My other dilemma (sp?) is going up to 35x12.5 but the problem that I'm encounter is if I go with Toyo's they don't have a 35x12.5x15. I'd have to increase the rims size to something larger. Also with upgrading the rims & larger tires; what else besides suspension would I need to upgrade?

Several people on this forum have had really good luck with the MTZs. I don't know about the Toyos.

If/when you decide to move up to 35s, you don't have to keep the same tires. Your needs may change, and the type of tire you wish to run may also change.

If you have a Model 35 rear axle (round with a rubber fill plug), you will want to do some upgrades on the axle as you wheel more. How long a 35 rear lasts will depend upon how you wheel.

Moving to 35" tires will require upgrades to axles and or axle components. Chromoly shafts would probably a minimum at this size.

I'm part of another forum because this site was sporatic all day today so I couldn't post anything consistently. But I confirmed that I do have a Dana 44 by another user.

With that being said, I shouldn't have to change the axles right now unless I go larger than 35s right? I know I'd have to get a 3.5"-4" suspension lift and shocks but that should be it. Maybe that's just me being nieve and new to the mods.

Looks like you have a Dana 44 rear and the normal Dana 30 front.
Depending on your driving style, you can make the stock axles live with 35s.

That being said, I would save for upgrades. The stock 30 axle housing is not as strong as the 44 housing. Depeding on who you talk to, 35s may be the limit or over the limit for the 30.

Chromolly axle shafts are one area to look at for upgrades.

Before I upgraded, I was able to run 35s on the stock 30 front and a Dana 44 rear with chromolly axleshafts.

Hope this helps.
